समयसीमा / चरणबद्धता विभिन्न चरणों में कार्यान्वयन — बंधक रिहाई, वापसी, पुनर्निर्माण आदि के साथ; परिस्थितियों के अनुसार लचीलापन। 6 सप्ताह या उससे अधिक का प्रारंभिक युद्धविराम, फिर क्रमिक वापसी और शासन व्यवस्था। लगभग 5 वर्ष की अंतरिम अवधि का लक्ष्य; उस समय तक अंतिम समाधान अपेक्षित था (पर हुआ नहीं)। कोई निश्चित समयसीमा नहीं; प्रत्येक देश का अपना कार्यक्रम।
मज़बूत पक्ष / उपलब्धियाँ व्यापक दृष्टिकोण — सुरक्षा, शासन, मानवीय और क्षेत्रीय सभी पहलुओं को जोड़ता है; अमेरिकी प्रभाव का उपयोग। अधिक यथार्थवादी और चरणबद्ध; तत्काल युद्धविराम और मानवीय राहत पर ध्यान। पहली बार पारस्परिक मान्यता और फ़िलिस्तीनी प्रशासन की स्थापना; वार्ता का ढाँचा बना। इज़राइल को अरब जगत में मान्यता मिली; नए व्यापार और सुरक्षा गठबंधन बने।
कमज़ोरियाँ / आलोचनाएँ इज़राइली सुरक्षा को प्राथमिकता देकर फ़िलिस्तीनी संप्रभुता की अनदेखी; प्रवर्तन अस्पष्ट; फ़िलिस्तीनियों को हाशिए पर रखा गया। दृष्टि स्पष्ट नहीं; शासन और दीर्घकालिक व्यवस्था के लिए ठोस खाका नहीं। सत्ता असंतुलन, प्रवर्तन की कमी, बस्तियों के विस्तार ने प्रक्रिया को कमजोर किया। आलोचक कहते हैं कि इनसे फ़िलिस्तीनी मुद्दा हाशिए पर गया; इज़राइल की स्थिति और मज़बूत हुई।
