Obama Could Deliver Mideast Peace

Once every few months Obama does something that reminds me all over again as to why I supported this guy so early and so enthusiastically in the first place. This is one of those times.
Barack Obama on brink of deal for Middle East peace talks The Guardian a promise by the US to adopt a much tougher line with Iran over its alleged nuclear weapons programme ..... push the United Nations security council to expand sanctions to include Iran's oil and gas industry, a move that could cripple its economy. ....... Israeli government will be expected to agree to a partial freeze on the construction of settlements ...... The president, who plans to make his announcement flanked by Netanyahu and the Palestinian leader, Mahmoud Abbas – plus the leaders of as many Arab states as he can muster – hopes that a final peace agreement can be negotiated within two years ......... A coalition of Arab states, thought to include the Saudis, has been in secret contact with Israel to discuss what they see as a common threat posed by Iran.
Obama did not bargain for the toughest economic crisis in 70 years, but he has not lost his calm once hit. Health care was always going to be his toughest nut to crack, but I am amazed that he is even doing it. Sure he promised to start work on it right away. But he could always have conveniently blamed the economic crisis for the delay. He did not.

Bush and Clinton tried to tackle Mideast peace towards the fag end of their presidencies. Not Obama. Abbas was the first foreign leader he called as president. I took note and decided this guy was serious about peace in that least peaceful part of the planet.

This guy could deliver Mideast peace. This guy could deliver health care. Both are harder than walking on water that he gets accused of.
